​What can coaching help with?

Working with a coach allows you to step back and reflect with someone who can bring thought processes into the open, focus on what might be stopping you from achieving the things you want in life.

What I Do

Often when we come up against challenges in life, it can be hard to move beyond them because we can’t see objectively. For some people, its about where they want to get to. For some it might be recognising what it is that is causing them to feel pressure or anxiety. Everyone is different but working with a coach is like holding a mirror up to yourself in a safe and supportive environment to give you the tools to make positive changes which can improve your life and wellbeing.

As well as general coaching I specialise in coaching people who’ve had life changing injuries or living with chronic medical conditions and their families. Check out the ‘about me’ page on the site to see how my own challenges led me to train as a coach and counsellor. Learning to live with disability or illness and the issues around that can be difficult to navigate. When I left hospital with a new disability I expected to slot back into my old life and there was no one around me who really understood what that felt like. As a result, I ended up struggling with mental health issues, taking me to the brink of despair because I had no one to talk to.

That’s where I have the personal experience and skills to support people going through those kind of challenges. I’ve been there……you don’t have to be alone now.

I like to take coaching, grab it by the short and curlies and make it work for you. However you want to approach your sessions, is your call. We can do the traditional face to face at my office, meet virtually over Zoom, get out and about for coffee or walk and talk? Pick the style that suits your personality. This is about you and what makes you feel most comfortable. What I will do, is be genuine, supportive and work with you to get to where you want to be. What I won’t do is tell you what you want to hear, offer a one size fits all approach or string you along.
